The crew at Teeluxe are stoked that the long awaited halfpipe is finally taking shape… Baz our ramp building ‘expert’, has made excellent progress on day 1. Skating is expected by the weekend. Thanks to nice chaps at Sea Surfboards for arranging the handover of the existing Insight quarter pipe. Stay tuned…

    Superquadra

Erik van der Weijde is a Dutch photographer that among other things has just released this new book — Superquadra (name given to large residential blocks built in Brasilia) is published by Roma Publications. I’m going to chase Erik and get this and other books/zines at Teeluxe soon….

In the meantime check out the book in more detail here, it looks real nice. Hopefully copies will be available on Teeluxe soon.

    Songs at Family

Free instore at Family a performance by Songs, a great band Teeluxe is enjoying right now.

    Family
    Sunday, March 14, 7pm
    436 N. Fairfax Ave 90036
    Los Angeles

‘The Sydney based Songs make echo heavy drone pop that gives modern music the cold shoulder. Squeezing into the gap between pop, minimalism and no wave, the sound of Songs is deceptively simple, friendly and willfully careless. They simulate the best of the ‘New’ music: New York during the 70’s and New Zealand in the 80’s.’

    More about Songs here.
